San Francisco International Beer Festival

The San Francisco International Beer Festival has been a Bay Area institution for 30+ years. Created as a fundraiser for the Tel-Hi Co-Operative Nursery School, it has taken on a life of its own while staying true to its roots and providing a significant portion of the school's yearly budget. In its 31st year, the cOOp did a brand refresh and rebuilt the sfbeerfest website, as well as other promotional collateral surrounding the yearly event.

Bear Mountain

logo design

Conceived and designed the Big Bear Mountain Resorts logo when Bear Mountain and Snow Summit merged.

The concept began with the idea that the two mountains were the Yin and Yang of each other - one catered to youthful snowboarders and the other catered to skiing families. The new logo also had to show that the two mountains were "connected" to each other and had to incorporate the current individual mountain logos.

Ultimately, the Yin and Yang symbol was pulled apart and turned into mountain shapes through one continuous line. The left peak was made slightly taller, reflecting the real world differences.
